Step-by-step route

01

Capture the lead

Create or import the person, organization, and opportunity. In Pipedrive, spreadsheet imports support XLS, XLSX, and CSV; the official guide requires the correct mandatory fields and recommends identifiers such as email or phone to reduce duplicates.

02

Qualify with three answers

Record need, fit, and timing. Do not build a large scoring model before the team can apply three consistent questions.

03

Create the next activity

Every active opportunity gets an owner, activity type, and due date. This is the core First Result for the setup.

04

Follow up and stop correctly

Use reminders or automation for the checkpoint. Stop when the lead replies, books, opts out, or is disqualified.

05

Book and hand off context

Move the deal to Booked Call and keep the source, need, previous messages, and next agenda visible.

Shortcut Tip

Create only four initial stages: New Lead, Qualified, Follow-Up, Booked Call. Add stages only when they change ownership, action, or reporting.

MIA’S TIP

The First Result is not “CRM configured.” It is one safe test lead with a visible next action and due date.

Expected result and checks

  • No active lead without an owner.
  • No open opportunity without a next action.
  • No automation that continues after reply, booking, or opt-out.
  • A clear path back to the comparison if the selected plan cannot support the workflow.
